Two of my colleague’s hard disk crashed a couple of months ago. Taking that as a sign, I started backing up my documents.. just in case.
Unfortunately, before I could complete, my hard disk CRASHED too!
Arrghh! *scream*
I lost 2 years worth of photos! I was supposed to have burnt them onto a CD at the end of the year, like I always do..
How silly of me not to have a backup.. especially of my photos. I can create the documents, I can gather the data, but I cannot bring back those pictorial memories of my sons! *cry* *cry*
Now, I have to thank myself for blogging about my sons. The pictures I have posted on their blogs would be the only source of pictorial memory for us. Phew!

Ohh boy! I can truly understand your pain. I also almost lost all my pictures but then got them back! Luckily!
But I think I will burn the latest ones also on a CD soon.

I had to face this situation sometimes back in the disk clean by my service bro, without asking me. but good time I had an online collection that saved some pics.
oh dear...i can feel the pain loosing the photos.
congratulation on the #3!! wow, 3 boys- that's a handful and triple the joy.
when it comes to my kids' photos, i super-kiasu. i have at least 2 back-ups. into an external drive- back up very frequent. and every few months i will also burn into cds.
i think i will cry big time if i ever lose those photos. anyway, you can always play catch up now...take more photos!!!

After what has happened, I think I have learnt my lesson. You're right, I should catch up now.. More pictures coming up :)
I don't do back up for my other stuff.. but the photos.. it's a must!
