Now it’s his turn

Just as I recover from chicken pox, I keep on looking out of whether the boys showed any signs of chicken pox.. just in case.

Two days ago, I spotted a red spot on lil’ President’s cheek. Suspecting something amiss, I checked his back, and confirmed that’s it was chicken pox. He had a few tiny shiny spots on his back.

As apps had given me strong medication to fight the chicken pox outbreak, I didn’t really experience the worst of chicken pox. But when I saw lil’ President last night, I really felt pity for him. He had so many watery spots on his body and face. He had already scratched a few. Now and then, he would say “Pain..” and point to where it is itchy and say “Here..” asking me to scratch for him. I would just have to lightly rub my fingers over the itchy spots. Somehow, he feels better with that.

He couldn’t even sleep well last night. He had fever. He felt itchy. It was painful. *sigh*

Unfortunately, he cannot take the same kind of medication I took for children as it is only for children above 2 years old! This little boy who couldn’t sit still is now moaning in pain. I really hope the chicken pox gets off fast.

I didn't bother..

.. but he did!

I didn't bother getting up in the middle of the night to take my 5 hourly medication to reduce to effect of the chicken pox virus, but he did! He set the alarm, and woke me up with the medicines and water in hand for me to take.

Since I was not allowed to cook, due to some 'pantang' of using oil on the pan when someone in the house has chicken pox, I only resorted to eating food stored in the fridge (usually the food from the day before). Before I could dig myself into those food, my lovely husband rushes home lunch time, with fresh food for the first 2 days that I am down with chicken pox! *melting sigh*

I love you, apps!

When I told Champion I was not feeling well, he insisted on feeding me my tablets.. He asked if he could see where it was hurting. When I showed him some spots, he said, "I won't touch, amma.." with such pitiful eyes.

My parents delivered to me green peas dhall (good for cooling the body) before they left for their vacation in Australia. Amms made enough for two days..

I am so touched with all the loving people around me. With all these pampering, how can I not help feeling better already?

Yoga, for me!

I recently suffered tensed muscles around my neck and shoulder. It was really painful. Apps said that I lack exercise. He then brought me a yoga exercise manual. Hmmm, it looked easy, and was tempted to try it out. So, this morning, instead of the normal exercise (cycling), I tried yoga! It felt good.

I read, "Yoga can ease tense muscles, improve flexibility and enhance strength, balance and endurance". Hmmm, that’s what I really need now.

Before this, I though yoga was not for me. I always thought that it was tough. Now, I think it is the most appropriate form of exercise for me (apart from the routine exercise I do). Driving a long distance to and fro to work, sitting at my desk the whole day, etc… all that is contributing to a strained body.

Yoga... here I come!
