“Yes.” I didn't bother whether her girls were sleeping with them, but before I could reciprocate her question, she proudly said “Ooo, they sleep on their own.” *pointing to her two girls*
“Wah, that’s good., trying to make her feel good, since she is proud of it ;)
“I started training them to sleep on their own since the second one was born.”
“Oohh.. Hey, you not scared that they will get up and wander off around the house in the middle of the nights?”
“I haven’t thought of that actually. Hehehehe..”
“I wonder whether Champion will get up earlier in the mornings and go down to watch Barney all by himself?” *laugh*
conversation went on as usual..
I was discussing with apps about how proud she was of her girls who are sleeping on their own. Even though I agree that they are being independent, I don’t think I will force that much of independence on my boys just yet.. not at this tender years.
I was telling him how they would miss their children’s morning freshness; their hugs, kisses, warmth, laziness, morning blabbers and so much more... I talk from experience, again and again, everyday :)
I find these very refreshing. God’s gift of a brand new day is enhanced by His special gifts to us.
Apart from that, I have read that sleeping with parents gives the child a good sense of security and comfort. It builds up their confidence.
What more reasons do I need for them to sleep with us?
