He is only 1 year old and he has temper?!
Ammachi gave the boys Vitagen. Champion had no problem.. like a good boy, he drank slowly using the straw.
I knew lil’ President would play with the straw and would spill the Vitagen, so we poked a hole so that he can sip through it. But when he saw anna having a straw, he tried to grab the straw from him. Luckily Champion was clever to dodge lil’ President and kept on drinking continuously.
He started wailing, but when he realized he still had the Vitagen bottle in hand, he tried to drink from it. While trying to drink from the bottle, he kept waving it front and back, spilling more. Then Ammachi said, “
May be he can drink from the sip cup?”
I warned her, “
He is going to be mad when you take the bottle from him. He will think that we are taking it away for good!”
Ammachi wanted to try, “
You don’t assume. I shall put and see.”
The moment she took the bottle from him, he started wailing… and dropped himself seated on the floor.
Even after receiving the sip cup filled with Vitagen, he was still crying. He just pushed the cup away. His face was all red already. Giving up, ammachi gave him the Vitagen bottle back. Nope, he pushed it away too. He was mad! *surprised*
Taatha took him to the living room, trying to give him the Vitagen in the sip cup. He was hoping he will forget about it. He didn’t.
I took lil’ President back, and this time without the sip cup.
No way you’re getting the drink if you’re going to show this kind of temper, my dear boy!I carried him into the living room. Apps was seated there. I had to tell him not to interfere. Otherwise, he will say,
why make him cry and sayang him. Nope, not this time. This is too much already!
I continued embracing him and told him to stop crying. Even though I knew he wouldn’t understand, I tried explaining to him what it won’t work by crying. After few minutes he stopped. Phew!
Then Champion comes back and says he has had enough Vitagen and wanted to give me the bottle. I told him to pass it to apps to finish it. When lil’ President say the bottle again, he started whining and wanted to get down and go to apps. Nope. I had to tell him, “
No Vitagen if you cry like this.” He stopped and remained silent in my arms.
Champion was just stunned by the way lil’ President was crying. He hasn’t done something like this before, at least not this bad. He did try crying when demanding something from us when he was about 15-18 moths old, but I managed to make him understand crying / demanding doesn’t work. Now, he gets what he wants in a very polite manner or he will not get it at all (at least not from me).
All this while I though lil’ President is too young to be trained when it comes to demanding. But when I saw what he did this time, I guess he is ready for my disciplining. No time to spare!
Oh my goodness. It’s going to be tough disciplining this little fellow. But I must say, he did look cute when he was throwing tantrums ;)
