A big, big birthday bash!

Celebration after celebration.. the day before engagement, the next, Champion and lil' President's birthday party!

The guests started coming in at 5.30 p.m. Luckily the rain didn’t hinder our guests.. Shortly after that, the clown arrived. He didn’t get to move an inch. All the kids crowded him and got themselves a balloon.. Even I got myself one :)

As expected, Champion was a little afraid of the clown. On the other hand, lil’ President was not.. or at least in the beginning.

Apart from the main dishes of rice, chicken sambal, mutton ‘peratal’, fish cutlets, vege and fruits, we had kids menu too.. drummets, nuggets, French fries as well as mango jelly.

About 7.30 p.m., we had the cake cutting session. Champion was so excited about the cake.. It was a ‘Barney’ cake. It should have been a bit more purple, but still, it was nice. It was an ‘American chocolate’ cake.. based on my preference, of course ;)

I had prepared party bags too.. and the kids were excited to receive gifts themselves. I also had some adults trying the masks out .. check out sittappa :)

It was kind off crowded.. imagine 200+ guests. But when the crowd of the very little babies had left, we started the games sessions. We played musical chairs, statue dance, pass the parcel, rubber band-in-straw race and lots more. My, my, my.. the shouts, laughter, dancing, jumping and all.. kept everyone entertained. What more, the winner also received little gifts, while the other got little consolation prizes of mini M&M packets.

The games sessions continued into a dance session.. beginning with the children, ending with the adult on the dance floor. It was real fun.. apart from my cousins, we had my FIL and parents dancing! To add to the entertainment, Karu uncle sang us a Tamil song. Real cool uncle..

A party that started at 5.30 p.m. only ended at 12.30 a.m. Phew! It was a long day.. but best of all, we had fun.. especially the boys.

More birthday fun and pictures @ d-championz & d-presidenz.

oh my 200ppl? All in your house??
What a bit birthday celebration!! You got caterers and event organisers to handle everything?

As long as the boys enjoy themselves, it's worth it!

Woohoo! What a celebration! Was it for yourself to commemorate your 100th post? Hehehe. Just kiddinglah.

zara's mama,
Yeah.. a big crowd huh! We had two tents in front of the house, extending into the road.

We got caterers for food.. We prepared the kids meal ourselves.. with the help of cousins. Nope, no event organisers. All by ourselves..

Yeap, they enjoyed themselves.. it's very worth it :)

mumsgather,
Indeed it was.

Oohh, the commemorating was for me. I am proud of myself. When I created this blog, I thought I am a poor writer, and wondered whether I will even write in my blog. So, the 100th post is a proud moment to me ;)

Wow! You really spend a bomb for both your kids eh? But if everyone is happy, it doesn't matter. :P

It's been a while since I last dance. So, did you do slow dance with hubby? :)

two little fellas,
Haha.. nope, the 200 didn't stay till modnight.. left with just the close family at 12.30 am.

I can really say that it was fun and exciting. If my boys were much older, they would have enjoyed more.

allyfeel,
First birthday mah.. As for Champion, we owe it to him, coz' I didn't make his birthday in a big scale as I was due anytime with lil' President that time.

So, the small plans turned big this time! :)

Where got slow dance.. all of them were dancing to fast songs only.. including folk dances. the kids would have been bored with the slow dance :P

Thanks.. :)
