Purshan & Pondatti

It means 'Husband & Wife'.

16 October 2002, is the day we were legally anounced as Husband & Wife.

Apps and I got registered at the Registrar's Office in Petaling Jaya. Apps chose this date as it is exactly 6 months from/to his birthday.

We were gathered with our family of at least 30 people about 9.00 a.m. After the ceremony, we headed for brunch at the Lotus Restaurant, Jalan Gasing.

When we arrived home at my parents place, they told me to step my right foot into the house.. Aaah, just like the Tamil movies, I thought. Karu uncle told me, "You are now stepping in as a Mrs., no more a Ms."

Later that night, both families gathered at my parents house for the 'nichiyum' ceremony (a ceremony for both elders to formally agree to take their son/daughter as their son-in-law/daughter-in-law respectively).

Hehehe.. a bit funny huh? Got registered and then had the 'nichiyum'. But we had to look at the convenience of others.

To oficiate this day, apps sent me a sweet SMS that started like this..

Hi Pondatti..

I was beaming when I read the message, calling me 'pondatti'.. It reminded me that I have another role from that day onwards ;P
