Behind his back

Champion loves to give lil’ President hugs and kisses now and then. But, lil’ President doesn’t like those (suffocating) hugs and (close to face) kisses. He pushes Champion away. So, when Champion wants to perform these loving gestures, I would have to be beside them.. so that lil’ President is not too rough in pushing him away, and make sure Champion does not press him too much.

Last week, while travelling in the car, Champion told me, "Leave amma. I carry him." I told him to be careful and he said, "Sayang only, amma. Sayang only." He would then continue to say, "Little while only, amma." Since I was next to them, I let him to so-call (with my help) carry him. As usual, after a few seconds, lil’ President started pushing away. After little while, Champion asked again, and this went on for a while until both of them got distracted.

When I put both of them to sleep together, lil’ President will put his leg on Champion. But if Champion puts his hands on lil’ President, he will push it away. So unfair!

Yesterday, when we got home, Champion was already sleeping. I put him on the mattress in the living room. In the mean time, lil’ President was crawling around him, trying to find some space to sleep next to Champion.

Suddenly, when I turn to look at them, I find lil’ President resting his head on Champion stomach.. and later rolling himself on Champion’s body. He got up, turned to Champion, and again put his face down on Champion. I looked at him and smiled. He knew I was looking; he looked back at me and smiled cheekily.

Aaah, you don’t want him to hug and kiss you so much, but you are giving similar loving gestures when he is not looking, I thought. I know you love it when he tries to be loving with you.

It’s so sweet that the both of them are always looking forward to being with each other...

sri,
Yeah, I should have. But I was afraid that when I try to go get my camera, lil' President will cry for me.. afraid that I am leaving him. So, I decided to just admire them :)

egghead,
Arghh! That is what I am afraid of.. I hope they will continue to be as loving as there are now. Hmm, am I dreaming? ;P

Yeap, I really want them to be close and always look out for each other.. Aaah, may be.. thanks ;)

has to be me,
Yeap :)
Champion sleeps with us while lil' President sleeps in the cot (attached to our bed, right next to me).
When it is time to sleep, I just say, "Now, time to sleep, so go to sleep" and they will drop their heads the pillow (but it has to be their bed time). But of course, they will either talk to us, be hugging us, or rolling around before they sleep off.
Although afternoon naps can be difficult, we don’t have much problem making them sleep together :)

starry nights,
I guess so too :)

zara's mama,
Yeah. That's what I notice. I guess, we, as parent can help them develop these loving gestures and thoughts for each other ;)
