DAY 2 - Saturday
So many public holidays, but we still didn’t feel like we have had a holiday. So, we decided to drive down to Port Dickson for a picnic. Packing some of their favourite food, drinks, keropok, mat, ball, slippers, etc. we drove down to the 3rd mile (next to the Avillion Resort).
Champion was all excited.. he said he wanted to touch the water, jump in the water and he went on and on.. throughout the journey. Both of them were munching on 'keropok', enjoying the drive there.
At the beach, we had a small snack before we headed to the water.. I made lil' President stand in the water, while Champion just stood near the water.
Within seconds, lil' President started grabbing my legs, asking me to carry him. He was afraid? I turned behind me and I saw apps trying to get Champion into the water. He was afraid too!
Considering that it was their first time to the beach, we guessed that they were afraid of the waves...
But after much dipping, lil' President was not afraid anymore. He loved the water instead! He kept on for calling apps to bring him back into the waters.
On the other hand, Champion preferred to be on the beach, playing ball. I carried him into the water, but he didn’t want to go more than touching the water while clinging tight on to me.
Since he wasn't interested with the water, I tried to make him to finger draw on the sand.. but he was not interested too, as he was looking out to the waves right behind him! After that, I just had to create fun for him.. burying his feet in the sand, kicking the sand, etc… all on dry land.
I noticed that he was being very careful. He has not walked on the sand without his shoes.. and when he did it this time, he made very small steps to move around.

@ Champion only wanting to play ball @ Champion had to be forced into the water @ Champion's careful small steps on the sand @ Champion's artwork (with amms help) @ Champion burying his feet in the sand @ Lil' President enjoying his dip @ Lil’ President drying off, while having a sausage
We had our share of fun too; apps and I stamped on the sand for our footprints.
Even after seeing his brother in the water, Champion didn't change his mind. He preferred to be on the beach.. Apps made a few attempts and carried him into the water, but Champion didn't want to stand in the water. He held tight on apps.
@ Champion was keeping his distance from the water, while apps try to bring him nearer to the water
The both of them ended up enjoying the view, watching the boat that was passing and other people in the water.

@ They resorted to watching the sunset
Lil' President was having a snack while he dried off. We both sat down enjoying the sun going down.. I couldn't resist taking snaps of the sunset.

@ I just love the sunset

From all the pictures I took, I love this picture of 'Father & Son' best!
I must say that I really enjoyed the family moments at the beach.

Hey.. this look like a nice stretch of beach huh?? Maybe I should bring Zara there one day.. Water is clear?
zara's mama,
This stretch of the beach was clean (comparing to the days when I was younger).
Seemed okay for kids... even can walk barefooted.
Water is clean, just mixed up with sand as we disturb the water.
Its fun to bring Zara.. something different. :)
wah nice photos of the beach...I've not been to PD for such a long time, must go one of these days. Just love the sunset rite :).
I think when kids encounter sand for the first time, they feel weird. Faythe reacted weird as well when we put her on beach in Langkawi and refuse to stand on it
jazzmint,
I also didn't go to the beach for a long time, so it was really refreshing for me too. The sunset was just so beautiful..
With PD just 1 hr drive away, can make day trips also :)
Yeah, I guess so. Ooh, she too felt weird? I hope the boys will get used to it on the next visit.. then can have more fun.
Whoa! What lovely fun filled pics. Damn good. so nice 2 note that u'd a good time with ur family @ the beach. Thats so good! Keep it up.

visithra,
I'm glad you love it. Me too :)
Hey, love your photos la...they are so lovely.
Champion is so careful eh? Haha...I have yet to bring bb to the beach. How long was the drive there?
allyfeel,
Glad you liked them. Apps and I were snapping away.. we loved the sunset, and it was so long since we had been to the beach ourselves :)
Yeap, very very careful person, compared to lil' President who never bothers to think whether he could hurt himself doing ehat he does. Champion on the other hand, will carefully make his steps to do anything.
The beach was a nice experience. I am sure BB will like it. It was about 1 hour journey.. with the new highway.
