My first fridge masterpiece

I am excited... I have a masterpiece for display on the fridge.

I have always wanted to put up my children’s art or creation up for display, and now I have their first own masterpiece.

I let them use the brush and paint whatever they wanted. Champion knows how to stroke the brush. Though he did not virtually draw something, his first art is a good start. After teaching him the painting techniques; to use different colours, wash the brush (dipping in a cup of water), and wiping the brush before the next colour.. he actually insisted that he followed the procedures. Everytime he wants to use another colour, he will wash the brush first.

Champion’s first paint brush art

I wanted him to try finger painting as well, just like on the Barney shows. Apps dabbed different colours on the paper and we asked him to mess it up with his fingers. We wanted him to have a messy fun. As he prefers to be clean, he tried the finger painting rather reluctantly.

Champion’s first finger painting art

Lil’ President didn’t want to listen to instructions. He just tried to follow whatever Champion was doing, and at the end of it decided to mess himself up. He used his fingers instead of a brush. He did try to poke the brush on the paper.

Lil’ President’s first paint brush and finger painting art

While allowing the boys to mess up with the paint, I noticed another baby getting all excited with the paint. It was apps! He wanted to paint too. I actually didn’t allow him to mess with Champion’s painting, as I wanted Champion to create an artwork by himself.. to be named ‘His First Artwork’. So, apps had his own chance.

Apps first artwork with the boys

Apps drew whatever Champion asked him to draw; car, birds, clouds, tree, the sun and a butterfly.

Hmmm, looking at your artwork, I wonder... Apps, I thought you said you got an A1 for art in SPM? Hehehe..

With all these painting fun, it was me who was very excited with the results of beautiful fridge masterpieces :)

Champion's art is too abstract for me :P

Hey geeths,

i'm so impressed with champion's first piece. so pretty. i let gitanjali do some finger painting as well, and she really had lots of fun - but when she starts with the brush, i get lots of pretty colours in the begining, and then the last few pieces are all brown, and so is my baby and her clothes... :)

egghead,
The most famous arts are abstract too. May be this is a stepping stone? :)

shri,
Hi. Thanks. Yeah, kids really love to have fun with colours.

Hahaha.. too much overlapping paint I guess. Painting at this age is about the messy fun, right ;)

Champion didn't get himself dirty with paint at all.. liek I said, he likes to be clean and dry, unlike lil' President :)

zara's mama,
Yeap. 3 of them, resulted in different types of drawings :)
But his effort was the least ;)

puspha,
Thanks. Ooopps, then you have lots of cleaning. But if you don't mind, then you have a art museum right at home ;)
I actually have cautioned them about drawing on the walls, so I haven't had any artwork on the wall.. yet!

starry nights,
Thanks. Yeap, you can say that again.. every one of them is so beautiful in their own ways :)

gene lim,
Thanks. Oklah, considering he hasn't touched the brush since SPM! :)
Yeap, I really appreciated apps sitting with us to have some family fun.

anonymous,
Nope.. that's just what we call them for fun. They're real names are Thytus and Nixon, respectively. Whenever we say Thytus, the refer him to a Champion, while when say his name is Nixon, they refer him to the President.. based on history.
Thanks. A feature they got from the mother ;)

mom2ashley,
Thanks :)
