Where's appa?

Normally, apps would be home before I bring back the boys. So, he is there to greet them when they arrive. But, yesterday, apps had to work late. He's even working late for the next two days.

So, when we got back home yesterday, Champion went into the house and started calling out for his daddy, "Appa, appa.." He walked around, called out at the staircase (thinking he might be upstairs) and then came back to me..

As I was taking lil President off from his car-seat, he asked me, "Where's appa?"

"Appa go work. Appa is not back", I said.

Again, he went back in, calling out for apps. I felt bad for him. *sigh*

He came back to me, and asked again..

"Appa go work. He will be back later. You wait another two hours (actually more than that)? " I said, trying to console him.

Hmmm, he just nodded his head, without a smile, he walked into the house...

*sigh*

Hours passed, and it was time to get into bed. Thank God, both of them didn't make much fuss to sleep. Since apps is always next to Champion until he sleeps off (while I am with lil President), he felt apps absence. He called out to me...
"Ma.."
"Yes sayang"
"Ma.."
"Yes baby"

He didn't answer me. After little while, again he called out to me..
"Ma.."
"Yes sayang"
"Hand"

He wanted to hold my hand..
..and soon he slept off.

This morning, apps said that at 5 a.m., Champion woke up and called out for him, "Appa.. carry" and held out his hand for apps to carry him...

My, my, my.. Champion missed apps even for a day *sigh*

Since he only saw his daddy in his sleep this morning, he is gonna look for apps again, this evening. Hmmm, how to answer him again?

if daddy have to be away for >1 day, he will usually squeeze to my side of the bed for comfort-..sweet-hor?

he actually knows that term, coz' we do use it when daddy is going out, whether work or not. So, he will understand that it may take some time for daddy to return.

The other time daddy goes out is to buy breakfast on Sunday mornings.. he says "appa go buy kueh". Yesterday, when I asked him where appa, he said "buy kueh". Argghh, he got it mixed up again..
Never mind, anything, as long as he doesn't look for daddy.

By the way, the word 'kueh', he says it with a 'e', instead of an 'i' for 'kuih'. It sounds so cute..

mumsgather.
yeah, but can't help it lah..

two little fellas,
yeah, yeah, same here...
He also will want to me to sleep next to him. So, for the past two days, I have been sleeping in between the boys. He wants to hold my hand...
So sweet...

Oh.. Little Champion is so close to yr hubby huh? That's so sweet.

Zara has been throwing a lot of tantrum lately.. and sometimes will call for Daddy for no reason.. Daddy has been away for almost 2 weeks now, so I guess she's missing him but don't now how to tell us.

Have you read the book called The Kissing Hand? Maybe when DH has to work OT, he can give your kids a kissing hand before he goes to work.

Two weeks? We may not see it, but she definitely will miss him. Tantrum is one way to show..

mom2ashley,

jazzmint,
yeap, thank goodness..

lian,
no lah, haven't read that book. Shall check it out. Thanks.

two little fellas,
hehehe, I got bored of my template..

The banner is a photo I toll in Switzerland. Life is colourful, so added the colour too..

I worked on the previous template. I didn't find any other template that I liked. So, I created this on my own... Nice ah?
