How they changed my life

I watched Transformers with apps in 2007. After the movie, I can vaguely remember the storyline and did not find it an interesting movie. I watched it just because of apps.

Last weekend, I watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with apps, Thytus and Nixon. We didn’t plan to watch the movie, and thus I did not make any bookings. As we were at the shopping complex, apps suggested that we watch the movie. I sat down with the boys to rest, while he went to check the lines and see if he could get the tickets… and came back saying that the queue is really long. He said it will take easily 1-hour to get to the ticket counter. “1 hour?!” I was shocked. Not believing him, I told that I wanted to go see for myself. I brought Thytus with me.

Apps was right.. the line was pretty long. But I decided to see how fast it was moving.. and joined in the 5 layered queue. As the queue was slowly moving, I decided to stay in queue as Thytus was patiently waiting beside me, getting excited that he will be able to watch Transformers. As I reached the 3rd layer, Thytus was getting tired, but he was still determined to stand beside me. Thirty minutes and six months pregnant was too much for me, and my feet were killing me. And when I got to the ticket counter, the only tickets available were the ones right in front of the screen! Since it will be difficult for the boys and me, I opted out. I explained to Thytus, but I could sense the sadness in his voice. I felt really bad!

Then apps decided to try another cinema, and he got the tickets for 4 of us. With that, we had some time to send Aaron over to appa’s place.

I sat down to watch the movie, not realizing it is going to be different from the time I watched with apps. With Thytus telling me who is who, he getting excited with all the fast moves and pointing out the interesting scene, I was drowning myself into the movie. I least expected to enjoy the movie, and the movie was over, I was feeling contended that I took pleasure in watching a movie that my boys like.

Wow! Now I can see how the boys have changed my preferences.. all in the name of mother’s love!
