First, it was Barney vs American Idol. Now, it is Barney vs World Cup. What do we do now?
Last night, we had to ask his permission to watch the Korea vs Togo match. We wanted to give him the feeling that he is the person in-charge, so that he won't get too upset over watching football over barney. He politely obliged..
I knew I had to get him interested in the game so that he won't ask us to switch back to Barney. I started narrating the game.. the more he understands about the game, the more interested he will be.
He watched how the players fell down, kicked the ball high into the air and how they scored the goals. After a few introductory minutes, Champion lied down on my lap and started watching the game, while holding a little football in his hands.
He started catching up real fast. While watching the game, now and then, he would say, "fall down", "kick so high", "ooo", "aaaa", "GOAL!", "running fast".
Cool.. he is learning to watch the game already.
Hmm, may be now we will have more freedom of the TV for the World Cup? ;)

Btw, who takes care of them while u r at work? Don't they miss u while u r away & how do u cope with the kids n work? I'm facing these probs & thot of checking with u.

MILs take care of them. We send them in the morning (about 6.30 am) and fetch them in the veening (about 7.30 pm). Long hours, huh?
They do miss me.. that's when they run to the gate and scream, "AMMA!". I just love that scream.
For house work, I have a maid. Anything else, cooking, feeding kids, bathing them, etc.. I will do. Hubby does help a lot too :)
What kinds of problem are you talking about? May be I can share too :)

I know.. after Champion, lil' President is going to ask for Barney and Champion might ask for something else.. and then it would be another fight! No chance for me then.. *sigh*

Not too long.. I know he will still ask for it everyday.. at least a few minutes of Barney.. So, before the 1st match, it is Barney on TV!

Champion already has a Brazil jersey (T-shirt type). When lil' President is bigger, I can get both of them to wear actual jerseys together.. sure cute :)

Yup I also love to see the joy n deight on my children's face when they greet with me with a big loving hug.
I also have a maid to do the house hold stuff.
I asked u these cos my kids r v.demanding (for attention). It is good in a way cos otherwise they might not get enough! From the time I enter home, they want me to be with them only! :)

Yeap, very lucky that MIL is taking care of my children.. what a peace of mind :)
Since they miss us when we are at work, they expect us to spend time with them. Most of the time our activities involve them.. whether shopping, outing, visiting, gardening, washing car, etc.
At home, Champion loves Barney. If he has too much Barney, I would get him to paint, read a book with me (still difficult, coz' he'll be thinking of Barney when I read), gardening, etc. Lil' President is stuck to me.. and will be playing around us..
I don't mind their request for attention, but sometimes I don't know how to fulfill 'my' request of attention from myself ;P

Yeap.. for a change.. He's not hooked, but he doesn't mind watching it with us ;)
He hasn't forgottten Barney.. still asks for it when we are not watching TV :)
